Bright colours look great with a tan but to make it stand out wear a lighter colour such as pale pink, pale blue or white (which also looks good!) because it makes the tan look darker, because, comparitively it is. It's like putting black clothes on will make your skin look paler because the contrast is greater.
a nice dark colour is best with a tan. deep reds. beiges, navy, deep pink, purple if you think you can pull it off. green is also great if your'e confident enough!

When I get a really good tan-I wear coral, orange, bright red or pink, or white. I have found that those really pop-especially the white!
White makes you look darker like a french manicure
