My nail varnish says 'apply a base coat'. Does that mean I add 2 coats of the polish or buy a base varnish?

what you have to do is put a base coat on - a base coat is a totally different to the coloured nail polish. its job is to protect your nail - sometimes if you don't put a base colour on and u put like..yellow nail varnish on, it stains your nails

base colours are just clear, so get any clear nail gloss and paint your nails, then let it dry and put the colour on!

Yes it pretty much means 2 coats. The base coat is like the first coat, the main coat. If you get what i'm saying. Then you have to add your second coat. I have nail varnish, so i know.My nail varnish says 'apply a base coat'. Does that mean I add 2 coats of the polish or buy a base varnish?
Buy a clear nailpolish .. a base coat prevents the nail colour you were goin to use from staining the nail .. so its allways better to apply a clear nail varnish , then your colour %26amp; even another clear coat .. just make sure you let it dry in between each coat xx
it means you just need a clear polish on the nail before you put the regular polish on.

any clear polish will do.

2 coats of polish on top of the clear will make the color more rich.
