i've been trying to get the perfect french manicure (doing it my self) and i have atip whitner thats bright white and one thats ivory. I want to add some of the bright white to the ivory to brigten the colour a little. Anyone done this kind of thing before, whats kind of results am i likely to get. Or should i just forget itIs it possoble to mix two nail varnish colours.?

It's not safe - you don't know how the chemicals will react together.
i don't see why not. but look around, there are so many different brands, r u sure u can't find the right shade somwhere?
