what you have to do is put a base coat on - a base coat is a totally different to the coloured nail polish. its job is to protect your nail - sometimes if you don't put a base colour on and u put like..yellow nail varnish on, it stains your nails
base colours are just clear, so get any clear nail gloss and paint your nails, then let it dry and put the colour on!
%26lt;3My nail varnish says 'apply a base coat'. Does that mean I add 2 coats of the polish or buy a base varnish?
Yes it pretty much means 2 coats. The base coat is like the first coat, the main coat. If you get what i'm saying. Then you have to add your second coat. I have nail varnish, so i know.My nail varnish says 'apply a base coat'. Does that mean I add 2 coats of the polish or buy a base varnish?
Buy a clear nailpolish .. a base coat prevents the nail colour you were goin to use from staining the nail .. so its allways better to apply a clear nail varnish , then your colour %26amp; even another clear coat .. just make sure you let it dry in between each coat xx
it means you just need a clear polish on the nail before you put the regular polish on.
any clear polish will do.
2 coats of polish on top of the clear will make the color more rich.

Acetone will remove it. Acetone is available in shops (it is usually sold as ';nail varnish remover';) but hardware stores sometimes sell it as acetone.
Acetone is a solvent and may dissolve or damage a plastic logo or pattern on the shirt so be careful! How do i get nail varnish out of a t-shirt?
Petrol, for sure
Nail Vanish remover, then a quick straight wash, or Dry cleaners.
Best bet, dry cleaners.
The only way to completely remove the stain is to cut it out with scissors. Sorry.
don't get a coloured nail varnish remover to try and avoid staining or take it to the dry cleaners!
Go to this link: http://www.diynot.com/pages/st/st046.php I just used their advice to get chewing gum out of a skirt and it worked a treat. best of luck, by the way, u really should explain how the nail varnish got on the footie shirt?? :)

Are you able to get nail varnish off a new carpet ?
Here is a site that I would highly recommend. They have very high quality stain removal techniques. I would suggest repeating the process after the first application, and rinsing the rug out with cool water in between applications. Best of luck! Are you able to get nail varnish off a new carpet ?
I dont know how close varnish is to model paint, but my 16 year old son spilled a bottle of it on my carpet and didnt tell me until it was dry. I had heard that bar soap works great on all kinds of stains. I got the bar of Irish sping, wet the carpet and rubbed the soap on the paint. With a little elbow grease and a scrup brush , the paint came up with not staining. Use very hot water it works best, and then use cold to. Good luckacne scars

Anyone know how to get nail varnish out of clothes?
10 points if it worksAnyone know how to get nail varnish out of clothes?
Off Skintastic insect repellent, Windex, Easy Off oven cleaner.
These seem to be the main products that really work! probably because they are fairly potent chemicals.
Good luckX

Why does nail varnish remover feel so cold ?
Evaporitive cooling. It's like getting out of a pool on a hot day and still shivering till you dry.Why does nail varnish remover feel so cold ?
Because acetone is an alcohol based product , it boils at a very low temperature , the cold you feel is the remover evaporating , using the heat on your finger to do soWhy does nail varnish remover feel so cold ?
as it evaporates off ur skin it uses the heat from u, so it feels cold. if u notice u are left dry, not with wet fingers as u would expect. its to do with the chemicals in the product.
this is because it is a volatile organic liquid and rapidly evaporates, this produces cooling.
what a brilliant question!!!! I've always vaguely been aware of this but never bothered to ask why. Now I'll know too, and benefit from your question.
best wishes,
sue

excellent question, i have just been removing my nail polish and wondering the same thing lol
It's to do with the the alcohol or acetone (depending on brand) - i think??!!??!!
;o)
more to the point, who the heck varnished my big toe whilst i fell asleep on the train last week?

Help! Nail varnish in a child's hair. How do you remove it?
At least it's clear.Help! Nail varnish in a child's hair. How do you remove it?
Soak a cotton wool pad with a little acetone and hold it tight over the ';lump';. Failing that Snip Snip!Help! Nail varnish in a child's hair. How do you remove it?
USE ACETONE immediately
its safe too remove it then wash it with warm water (shower) f u r afraid from it
don't be afraid as acetone is organic material ( but it may irritate the scalb) so wash the scalb with water after using the acetone
Cut it
Acetone from the chemist for about 99p. It will also remove glue
YOUR FIRST ANSWER IS THE BEST. DO NOT USE WATER IT WILL MAKE IT WORSE! AS SOON AS ITS OUT THEN WASH WITH SHAMPOO AND WATER BUT ONLY AFTER THE ACETONE DRYS AS IT REPELS WATER!AND IF U HAVE USED WATER DRY THE HAIR BEFORE USING ACETONE.
Nail Varnish remover should do the job. If it's acetone free it shouldn't harm the hair.
first try washing childs hair then blow dry it. if that doesnt work try sensitive nailvarnish remover (make sure its sensitive)
